About Us
Shannon Riley has been riding horses for over 13 years, working in nearly every discipline, under many great riders and coaches to develop her own unique style and techniques. She has ridden with Kenny Dierks, Ralph Hill, Wendy Sanders, Betty Hutton, Heather McCarthy, Kathy Jones, and many others well known trainers. She has also ridden in Pony Club, 4-H, eventing, dressage, hunters, jumpers, western, and even some saddle seat!
In 2007, she rode and competed in Ireland, winning a 4ft jumper class on a horse she had ridden only once before. She has broken out and trained her own horses, as well as having been asked by many to work with their "problem" horses.
Her passion lies in retraining these so called "problem" horses into acceptable members of the equine community.
She enjoys riding in the Wayne DuPage Hunt and is an active member.
The main goal for SR Equestrian is to help horses and riders come together to achieve their goals. Whether those goals be competition, or simply a happier trail ride.
